Abstract

Green urban open space becomes discourse in many cities, several cities in Indonesia have gained award because of their successful in building green urban open space, among them are: Surabaya and Bandung, the exsistence of green urban open space can be considered in improving city dwellers’s quality of life, quality of life connected field with urban and regional planning as part of comprehensive planning, science philosophy is a foundation to understand research positition. This research using qualitative descriptive to explore research position in urban and regional planning connected with knowledge philosophy. Analysis technique used in this research is descriptive evaluative using literature and theory. This paper concludes that green urban open space and quality of life are empirical research, logic, and can be measured. These concepts are parts of deductive research and reflection that the urban and regional planning is a logic knowledge and a science part.

Abstract

Desa Wisata Candirejo merupakan salah satu desa wisata yang menerapkan konsep pariwisata berbasis masyarakat. Keterlibatan masyarakat, pemerintah, dan stakeholder menjadi sangat penting. Pihak yang secara aktif dalam pengembangan desa wisata disebut local leader/local champion sehingga muncul pertanyaan “bagaimana peran local champion dalam pengembangan desa wisata Candirejo?” Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara mendalam (depth interview) kepada narasumber. Metode snowballing dianggap sebagai metode yang sesuai, karena sampel yang digunakan adalah masyarakat/pihak yang benar-benar dinilai memiliki pengetahuan lebih terhadap objek yang diteliti. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan ada 2 yaitu:  1) pengumpulan data primer, dengan melakukan observasi dan wawancara; 2) pengumpulan data sekunder, yaitu dengan melakukan kajian literatur, telaah dokumen. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh peran Local Champion pada pengembangan pariwisata berbasis komunitas di Desa Wisata Candrejo yaitu sebagai motivator, mobilisator, mediator, dan fasilitator. Peran Local Champion pada desa wisata yang menerapkan community of development tampak pada pengembangan sumberdaya alam dan sumber daya manusia. Kekayaan sumber daya alam dan budaya menjadi salah modal utama dalam pengembangan desa wisata. Masyarakat dituntut menciptakan usaha baru guna meningkatkan perekonomian. Dengan adanya kegaitan wisata, perekonomian masyarakat meningkat, interaksi sosial semakin erat, serta lingkungan semakin terjaga, sekaligus melestarikan budaya.

Abstract

Kebakaran adalah bencana yang umum terjadi di Kota Surabaya. Kawasan Segiempat Tunjungan Surabaya merupakan kawasan dengan kepadatan bangunan, penduduk dan aktivitas yang tinggi sehingga jika terjadi kebakaran akan menyebabkan potensi besarnya korban jiwa dan kerugian materi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat risiko kebakaran di Kawasan Segiempat Tunjungan Surabaya. Analisis yang digunakan merupakan analisis risiko bencana kebakaran dengan memperhitungkan variabel bahaya, kerentanan dan kapasitas. Hasil analisis risiko bencana kebakaran terdapat 21 RT (Rukun Tetangga) dengan tingkat risiko kebakaran tinggi, 9 RT dengan tingkat risiko kebakaran sedang dan 3 RT memiliki tingkat risiko kebakaran rendah.

Abstract

Kemiskinan menyebabkan seseorang tidak bisa memenuhi kebutuhan dasarnya, serta keterbatasan terhadap akses pendidikan, kesehatan, air bersih, sanitasi yang baik serta perumahan yang layak huni. Hal tersebut yang merupakan penyebab munculnya permukiman kumuh. Kabupaten Pamekasan sebagai salah satu Kabupaten yang mendapatkan program KOTAKU dengan 7 (tujuh) Kelurahan/Desa yang menjadi prioritas penanganan untuk mewujudkan perbaikan kualitas hidup masyarakat miskin melalui penataan permukiman yang baik dan sehat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji apakah ada relevansi antara kemiskinan dan permukiman kumuh pada lokasi penerima program KOTAKU di Kecamatan Pamekasan Kabupaten Pamekasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kombinasi dimana metode penelitian kualitatif menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan metode penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografi (SIG) dengan metode overlay. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat menggambarkan sebaran kawasan kumuh yang nantinya dapat membantu pemerintah dan stakeholder terkait dalam mengambil keputusan guna merencanakan penataan kawasan perumahan dan permukiman kumuh.

Abstract

Yogyakarta is a city known as the city of education. The potential of education in Yogyakarta is not only recognized by the local community, but also by people throughout Indonesia. The identity makes the city of Yogyakarta as an educational city much in demand in the city, outside the city and even the foreign community. Campus as a forum for the wider community in gaining knowledge can be a new growth center that causes changes to the surrounding area. In the Babarsari region there are several campuses that trigger the development of the surrounding area. Babarsari region became a crowded area considering that every year hundreds of students come from various regions to gain knowledge and settle in this area. In addition to the students, this opportunity is used by communities or migrants from other places to settle and make business in the area around the campus. Seeing the potential that exists, people urbanize into the Babarsari region, so the Babarsari region is more dense as a result of population growth. The development of the area in Babarsari fosters the use of new lands that are utilized as supporting facilities for campus existence. Babarsari is one of the areas of education centers that experienced rapid development of the region. This causes an impact on the population growth followed by increasing the density of the building so that in the end there is a physical change of the surrounding area. This study aims to identify the extent of physical changes in the area that occurred in the region Babarsari. In this research using qualitative descriptive method supported by quantitative data analysis. Quantitative analysis is done through the approach of figure ground analysis and land use analysis.The results showed that the physical changes of the area since 2003-2017 ie the use of agricultural land turned into a wake land of 4% per 7 years.

Abstract

Home Based Enterprise (HBE) develepment of cassava processing in Salatiga City, especially in RW 2 and RW 11, Ledok Sub-district must be optimized and developed in a sustainable manner considering the contribution on social aspect, economic aspect, and region development. This study aims to determine the level of sustainability in HBE of cassava processing in internal factors based on assets analysis in sustainable livelihood approach which includes natural asset, physical asset, human asset, financial capital and social capital and also from external factors such as the availability of policy support in the development of cassava processing HBE at local government level. The method used is mix method with Rapid Appraisal Analysisi called RAP-HBE and kualitative descriptive. The study findings were obtained four (4) of the five (5) of assets in the category of sustainable enough to the value sustainability index consecutive financial capital (72.04), natural capital (67.97), human capital (66.86) and physical capital (53.97). While the social capital obtain the value of sustainability index low of 44.05 and in the category of less sustainable. While external factors such as support by government of Salatiga on the sustainability of HBE in general as well as business training, business assistance, the discussion of business, and others are already there, but HBE processing of cassava that is not a target of the implementation of the policy, so far the sustainability of HBE has not received direct support from the Government of Salatiga.

Abstract

Saat ini ASEAN memiliki kebijakan single aviation market yang mengarahkan negara di asia tenggara mengembangkan infrastruktur bandara untuk pemenuhan permintaan transportasi udara. Single aviation market dapat meningkatkan aktivitas bisnis bandara dan daya saing kota dengan akses terintegrasi bandara di Indonesia. Hal tersebut dapat menciptakan Bandara Internasional Soekarno Hatta menjadi airport city dan kota disekitarnya (Kota Tangerang) menjadi aerotropolis. Namun, saat ini kesiapan Pemerintah Kota Tangerang dan dinas terkait untuk mengembangkan Kota Tangerang sebagai aerotropolis belum teridentifikasi. Lalu bagaimana potensi pengembangan Kawasan Bandara Internasional Soekarno Hatta dan Kota Tangerang menjadi aerotropolis?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi pengembangan Kawasan Bandara Internasional Soekarno Hatta dan Kota Tangerang menjadi aerotropolis dengan menganalisis kondisi eksisting, kebijakan dan penataan ruang, dan kesiapan Pemerintah Kota Tangerang. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitaf. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif, spasial dan AHP. Hasil analisis menunjukan Kota Tangerang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan menjadi aerotropolis.Nowadays ASEAN has single aviation market policy which lead South East Asia  Countries should develop their airport to satisfy the air transportation needs. Single aviation market will increase business activity and  integrated access airport’s city competitiveness in Indonesia. It makes the Soekarno Hatta International Airport become airport city and the city near the airport (Tangerang City) become the aerotropolis. Nevertheless, the readiness of governments to develop Tangerang City become aerotropolis has not identificated. According that problem turn up a question “How the potential development of Soekarno Hatta International Airport area and Tangerang City to be develop into aerotropolis”. Goals of this research is assess the potential development of Soekarno Hatta International Airport area and Tangerang City to be develop into aerotropolis with analyze the existing condition, spatial planning and policy, and the governments readiness of Tangerang City. The research approach is quantitative. The analysis methods used is descriptive, spatial, and AHP. the analysis has been done, it can be said tangerang city has the potential to be developed into aerotropolis.

Abstract

Movement in Semarang City has dependence on motorcycle, evidenced by the domination of motorcycle that reach 79%. It causes the highest percentage of accident rates by motorcycle users, reaching 66% of 5,378 incidents and 18.4% of them are high school students. Based on that problem, conducted research that aims to understand travel behavior of high school students motorcycle users in Semarang Central City and understand how dependence on motorcycles and safety riding awareness on the student. This research is use mix approach research to combine quantitative and qualitative method. The method of data analysis used in this study are descriptive statistics, network analysis and phenomenology analysis. The results show that social demographic aspects as measured by student participation in additional activities after school affect the student's travel behavior. Schedule and location of activities after school will form student travel pattern and then shaping the student travel behavior. It causes the motorcycle become the main mode of student travel. Besides travel behaviour, motorcycle dependence is caused by accumulation negligence by various parties. Such negligence is the provision of school parking following the demand growth, lack of integration of public transportation modes, and the permission of students to use motorcycles without driver license. Unfortunately, motorcycle dependence has not been accompanied by safety riding, it is evidenced by the percentage of causes of the highest accidents caused by driver factor, which reached 96%. 98% of students had committed traffic violations and 96% of them were deliberate. This is happened because students feel tired due to increased hours of activity from full day school system and additional activities after school so that students become unaware and not obey. These problems cause both well-informed and uninformed students ignore smart riding method.

Abstract

Human settlements supply has always been a problem in urban areas, particularly for the low-earners. There are few aspects to do in house procurement, such as location that will determine the cost of housing. Hence, this research aims to determine potential location to be developed as affordable housing for low-income people in Semarang. This research applied spatial analysis method based on Geographic Information System (GIS). The analysis results that only around 5,85% of allocated human settlement area in Semarang City is potential to be developed as affordable housing. In this study, the result show that in terms of location for affordable housing development, accessibility factor can determine the location with considering the particular planning standards.

Abstract

Limited ability of society both economically and managing space cause slum condition in Tambakrejo Urban Village. In the year 2015-2017 then done slum arrangement, but not yet reached livable settlement as environment condition which still not support based on condition and perception of society. Many found garbage that pollute the community environment. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of settlement arrangement to reach livable settlement in Tambakrejo Urban Village Semarang. The research method used in the form of quantitative approach, with descriptive analysis tool, likert scale and simple linear regression. Based on the research, founds that slum regulation in Tambakrejo Village has not reached livable, from 3 components that must be realized it only affect 2 aspects that is physical and social, while the economic aspect is still not influenced by the arrangement. Furthermore, people's assessment of 17 criteria of human settlement as convenience parameters, obtained 6 criteria influenced, among others, ease of access, satisfaction of infrastructure, infrastructure support activities, small home improvement costs, the role of socializing institutions, and guaranteed cooperation of government, private, and community.
